Dear Green Energy Act Alliance Member, We are pleased to release to you the Green Energy Act Alliance's (GEAA) expert analysis of Bill 150, The Green Energy and Green Economy Act, 2009 ("GEA") for your review.

The Visioning Session took place on September 16th, 2008, at the North York Memorial Hall.  The object of this session was to create a final statement that would outline the potential for renewable energy and conservation in Ontario.

A successful model for the Ontario Green Energy Act is the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (Erneuerbare-Energien-Gesetz, EEG).

Canada's most prominent environmentalist, Dr. David Suzuki, and noted guests Dennis Hayes and Preben Maegaard spoke about the need for green energy and renewable solutions to our energy and environmental crises on April 23 at Convocation Hall in Toronto. The Ontario Sustainable Energy Association sponsored a live webcast of this important discussion, which was hosted by the Green Energy Act Alliance. The webcast is available for viewing online.
